Une description classique de l'anatomie du rein. Bellini a découvert les canaux excréteurs rénaux ("les canaux de Bellini") et a avancé une théorie physique de la sécrétion de l'urine. Elle est illustrée de 16 gravures sur cuivre occupant 9 planches à pleine page et 2 hors-texte dépliantes. Troisième édition, la première comportant le supplément de Gerardus Blasius (Gerhard Blaes) sur des reins "monstrueux". Cette partie (pages 97-132) est illustrée de deux planches gravées. L'ouvrage a été publié pour la première fois, à Florence en 1662. Lorenzo Bellini (1643-1704), élève de Redi et Borelli, appliquait dans ses recherches une théorie mécanique de la physiologie du corps humain. Bel exemplaire. /// In-12 de 132 pp., 2 planches h.-t. Third edition, the first one including the supplement by Gerardus Blasius (Gerhard Blaes) on "monstrous" kidneys. This part (pages 97-132) is illustrated with two engraved plates. The work was first published in Florence in 1662. Lorenzo Bellini (1643-1704), a pupil of Redi and Borelli, applied in his research a mechanical theory of the physiology of the human body.
