C'est donc une philosophie rationaliste et réaliste dont l'influence se fera particulièrement ressentir sous la dynastie Han avant de progressivement disparaître sous les Tang. A literal translation of all portions of the writings of Hsuntze(d.235 B.C.) believed by Dubs to be both original and important. Dubs based this translation on Hsuntze Chicnien compiled by Wang Hsien-chien and has provided the pagination of Wangs work in the columns for convenient cross reference. Since Hsuntze was founder of one of the two major branches of early Confucianism, this translation is a major contribution to the study of ancient Chinese philosophy.
