Produced as a memorial to Clinton Dent who was first President of the Association and who saw through the project of funding and building of the Brittannia Hut Die Britannia-Hütte wurde am 17. August 1912 offiziell eingeweiht, als die Association of British Members of the Swiss Alpine Club (ABMSAC) die Schlüssel der Hütte an die Sektion Genf des Schweizer Alpen-Clubs (SAC) übergab. Der Bau auf dem Klein Allalinhorn (Saas-Fee) war ein Geschenk britischer Kletterer als Dankeschön für die Gastfreundschaft in Schweizer Hütten. Britannia Romana
London 1722 Très bel exemplaire, avec coloriage à la main de l'époque, sous passe partout. Il s'agit probablement de la deuxième édition (1722) du Britannia de Camden. 43cm x 39cm. Bon exemplaire, propre, avec un noircissement minimal. La pliure centrale a été renforcée au dos. Belles couleurs vives. Le texte est collé sur le passe-partout avec du ruban adhésif d'archivage. Le cadre mesure 49 cm x 39 cm. Très bon état. Montre la Grande-Bretagne telle qu'elle est nommée sous l'occupation romaine.
A very nice copy, with contemporary hand colouring, under passe partout. This is probably from the second (1722) edition of Camden's Britannia. 43cm x 39cm. Good, clean copy, with minimal darkening. Centre fold has been reinforced to the rear. Nice bright colouring. Tipped onto passe partout with archival tape. Frame is 49cm x 39cm. Very good condition. Shows Britain as named under Roman occupation. .
