The Geneva-edition of the French translation of this interesting treatise which devotes a large part to the trade with American plantations and contains discussions of British trade with Carolina, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and New England. First published in 1729, the work was frequently reprinted throughout the eighteenth-century. Translated by J.B. de Secondat, son of Montesquieu.
