‎Texte de présentation de l'éditeur. Sur base des présentations rédigées par Emmanuel (1914-1999) et Charles (1924-2004) d’Hooghvorst à propos du Message Retrouvé de Louis Cattiaux (1904-1953), Raimon Arola, professeur à l’Université de Barcelone, nous fait le récit de la rencontre de ces trois hommes. Cette amitié exemplaire mérite de ne pas tomber dans l'oubli car elle n'est pas fondée sur un sentiment humain, mais sur le contenu de l’œuvre mystérieuse de Louis Cattiaux, Le Message Retrouvé, repris dans les « Œuvres complètes » de Louis Cattiaux, publiées chez Beya sous le titre d'Art et Hermétisme en 2005. La relation entre Louis Cattiaux et les d'Hooghvorst fut de courte durée, mais d'une intensité exceptionnelle. Elle s'étendit sur un peu plus de quatre années, jusqu'à ce que le peintre et poète, en été 1953, quittât ce monde subitement. Il s'en alla, mais sans abandonner ses nouveaux amis: il leur légua non seulement Le Message Retrouvé, mais aussi l'esprit qui en était la clé. Suite à cette rencontre, les deux frères ont consacré leur vie à diffuser et commenter l’enseignement de Cattiaux : « Nous avons cherché simplement à rendre témoignage de ce que nous avons lu et entendu ». Ces jeunes aristocrates étaient désormais dépositaires d’un trésor, le trésor de la sagesse née d’une expérience INCROYABLE, et par leurs réflexions, ils ont démontré que le livre « nouveau » de Cattiaux avait le même fondement que l’« ancienne » sagesse des religions classiques. La dédicace du Message Retrouvé est d’ailleurs claire à ce sujet : « Ce livre n’est pas pour tous, mais seulement pour ceux à qui il est donné de CROIRE L’INCROYABLE ». En appendice, on trouvera le Florilège épistolaire, extraits choisis de lettres de Louis Cattiaux à ses amis. Ces pages sont un «cri du cœur » non calculé, fruit d'une expérience aussi nouvelle et ancienne que le monde. ‎
