Paris Simonis 1896 In12 - broché - 320 pages - papier jauni - quelques rousseurs - exemplaire numéroté Séverine (1855-1929) de son vrai nom Caroline Rémy, fut secrétaire, puis collaboratrice deJules Vallès, au quotidien "Le Cri du Peuple". Il lui apprend le métier de journaliste. Elle mettra en forme et en ordre le 3e volume de la trilogie en partie autobiographique de Vallès : L'enfant / Le bachelier / L'Insurgé. Libertaire, antimilitariste, elle défendra les anarchistes, et prendra partie pour Dreyfus auprès de Zola et Jaurès en 1894 et pour la paix en 1914. Pionnière de l'antiracisme, elle dénoncera la montée du fascisme. Féministe visionnaire, elle réclamera pour les femmes le droit à l'éducation, au divorce et à l'avortement. Enfin, toute sa vie, elle s'engagera "avec les pauvres toujours" à combattre la misère qui pour elle "tue plus de gens que jamais la mitraille n'en a tués".
