‎First edition of the first English album published on the Oisans and the Dauphiny at the beginning of the 19th century, with fine engravings showing many calm and hidden places all around the valleys of Piemont and the Savoie, etc. The spectator gets a great impression of the particular atmosphere caused by the harmony of nature and religious places. “Le premier album anglais publié sur l'Oisans et le Dauphiné au début du 19ème siècle, superbement illustré. Il comporte également des planches sur la Savoie (e.a. Migèves, Cluse et Viu) et le Piémont. Rare et très recherché” (Perret). Perret 323; DHBS IV/604. ‎
