Superbe dessin exécuté au crayon reproduit en couverture du roman de Robert Raynaud "Le roman du Sahara ( Paris, J. Peyronnet et Cie, 1927), qui fut secrétaire général de l'Institut musulman. Il représente femme du peuple Touareg aux longs cheveux tressés recouverts d'une coiffe, portant de grandes boucles d'oreille circulaires et revétue de ses habits traditionnels. L'artiste a composé sa maquette à partir d'un tirage photographique trés estompé sur papier mat, procédé permettant d'obtenir un travail remarquablement réaliste. Joint au dessin: un exemplaire du livre "Le roman du Sahara" de Robert Raynaud, Paris, 1927. 1 vol in-12° broché. 198 pp. Illustré d'une carte et de photos. Etude du Sahara, histoire, géographie, population, présence française... Graphite drawing on a sheet of photographic paper (325 x 255 mm) laminated to cardboard. (dirt and defects of use). Superb drawing executed in pencil reproduced on the cover of the novel by Robert Raynaud "Le roman du Sahara (Paris, J. Peyronnet et Cie, 1927), who was secretary general of the Muslim Institute. It represents a Touareg woman with long braided hair covered with "a headdress, wearing large circular earrings and dressed in traditional clothing. The artist composed his model from a very faded photographic print on matte paper, a process allowing to obtain a remarkably realistic work. Together with the drawing: a copy of the original edition of the book "Le roman du Sahara" by Robert Raynaud, Paris, 1927. 1 vol. in-12° paperback. 198 pp. Illustrated with a map and photos. Study of the Sahara, history, geography, population, French presence.
