‎Summary Perse, auteur satirique latin du Ier si cle ap. J-C., eut la faveur des lecteurs partir des premi res phases de sa r ception et durant la p riode humaniste, en raison de son style original et exigeant et de la moralit de sa po sie. En 1481 le commentaire des Satires de Perse par Giovanni Britannico, humaniste et imprimeur italien du XVe si cle, venait d' tre publi dans la ville de Brescia. Britannico fit deux r visions en 1486 et en 1500, ce qui lui permit de proposer un regard global sur l'ex g se de Perse faite partir des ann es Quatre-vingts du Quattrocento, gr ce son dialogue avec la production de ses coll gues (Politien, Fonzio, Merula, Barbaro etc). Le commentaire jouit d'une norme diffusion au Nord des Alpes durant le XVIe si cle, en particulier dans la r gion du Rhin, en influen ant les tudes post rieures sur Perse. L' dition critique du commentaire, accompagn e d'une introduction importante, augmente nos connaissances sur l'Humanisme italien et sa grande influence, en fournissant des l ments nouveaux sur la r ception du genre litt raire de la satire romaine en Italie et au-del . Persio, autore satirico latino del I secolo d.C., ebbe una grossa fortuna fin dalle prime fasi della sua ricezione e soprattutto nel periodo umanistico, grazie all'originalit e alla raffinatezza del suo stile, nonch alla forte impronta morale della sua poesia. Nel 1481, nella citt di Brescia, fu pubblicato il commento alle Satire di Persio redatto da Giovanni Britannico, umanista e tipografo italiano del XV secolo. Britannico realizz due revisioni del suo lavoro, nel 1486 e nel 1500, riuscendo cos a offrire una visione d'insieme sull'esegesi persiana sviluppatasi a partire dagli anni Ottanta del Quattrocento, anche attraverso il confronto con la produzione dei suoi contemporanei (Poliziano, Fonzio, Merula, Barbaro, ecc.). Il commento conobbe un'ampia diffusione al di l delle Alpi nel corso del XVI secolo, in particolare nella regione renana, esercitando una notevole influenza sugli studi successivi su Persio. L'edizione critica di questo commento, accompagnata da un'approfondita introduzione, contribuisce ad ampliare le nostre conoscenze sull'Umanesimo italiano e sulla sua influenza in Europa, offrendo nuovi elementi per comprendere la ricezione del genere della satira romana sia in Italia che in ambito europeo. ‎Summary The Italian Renaissance has been studied above all as a cultural phenomenon related to the 15th-century rediscovery of ancient philosophy, literature, and art. The present volume significantly recalibrates that view, looking at the humanist concept of 'rebirth' in relation to the Christian belief in resurrection.
