Nell'opera Pellico descrive la sua detenzione in prigione dal 13 ottobre 1820 giorno in cui venne arrestato a Milano per la sua adesione ai Moti Carbonari sino al 17 Settembre 1830 giorno del suo ritorno a casa.<BR>Alla fine capitoli aggiunti.
