Première édition séparée, illustrée de nombreuses compositions en noir dans le texte et de 30 planches contrecollées en couleurs, dont le frontispice, de lillustrateur londonien William Heath ROBINSON (1872-1944). Lédition a été imprimée à 500 exemplaires numérotés et signés par lartiste (n°333). Le recueil de poèmes de Kipling, A Song of the English, contient ses "Songs of the Cities" : Bombay, Calcutta, Madras, Rangoon, Singapore, Hong Kong, Québec, Montréal, Halifax, Sydney et Melbourne, en plus de ses Song of the Dead, Song of the Sons et Coastwise Lights.
