En 1925, il crée avec ses amis le « Groupe des 11 » qui, lors de sa quatrième exposition à la Galerie Armand Drouant, en 1928, consacre une salle à la gravure, embryon de La Jeune Gravure contemporaine, avec Louis-Joseph Soulas, Léon Lang, André Jacquemin, Mily Possoz, Joseph Hecht.
