Three gilt fillets on both covers. Cover, edges, and endpapers marbled. Small snags on the upper caps of volumes I and II, corners slightly rubbed. Former owner's label in the middle of the upper flyleaf. Nice copy. Book in good condition.

Frug Semyon Grigoryevich (1860-1916) is a Russian and Jewish poet, publicist, translator. He wrote mainly in Russian and Yiddish. The Russian part of his work was quite popular in the 1880 s and 1890 s: combining romantic and civil motives, Frug was the successor to A.N. Apukhtin and S.Y. Nadson.
