Deuxième édition de ce recueil de chansons absurdes illustré de figures en noir de l'auteur ,dans le texte. Originalement, elles ont paru dans la revue Fun, puis l'auteur a publié deux ouvrages intitulés The Bab ballads et More Bab Ballads. Insatisfait de certaines d'entre elles, il a décidé de sélectionner celles qui lui semblaient les meilleures qu'il publie dans le présent ouvrage.
