Tuinen zijn lokale barometers van de staat van de planeet: ze zijn een deel van ons woonideaal en tegelijk een plek van verzet waar de gevolgen van ecologische veranderingen steeds zichtbaarder worden. Een ideaal vertrekpunt om onze complexe verhouding met de natuur af te toetsen. The central theme 'garden' - symbol for care, creation and resistance - connects the three locations of Rebel Garden: the Groeninge Museum, the Gruuthuse Museum and the Museum Sint-Janshospitaal. Gardens are local barometers of the state of the planet: they are part of our residential ideal and at the same time a place of resistance where the consequences of ecological changes are becoming increasingly visible. An ideal starting point to test our complex relationship with nature.
