Volume 2 only of the relation of the John Crawfurd's mission to Burma in 1826, who marked the history of British-Asian relations. As an envoy of the East India Company, he negotiated a trade between Britain and Burma. Accompanied by Adoniram Judson and Nathaniel Wallich, the mission contributed to the fields of linguistics and botany, it is also a description of the politics, economics of the pennisula Crawfurd, at one time a medical doctor with the East India Company, was an envoy to Cochin China and Siam in 1821 and in 1823 he became Governor of Singapore.
