The Karisalov collection includes exemplars of various types of bone carving: caskets, desks, portraits, table mirrors, netsuke, chess, icons, relief portraits. The Karisalov family began collecting more than 30 years ago. The collection was exhibited in 2012 in the State Museum-Reserve Tsarskoye Selo, together with some of the museum's items; in 2013 in the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve, and in 2015 at the Pavlovsk State Museum-Reserve.
