‎Guide to Afghanistan‎

‎Kabul, 1938. 1 volume in-8, cloth-bound, 181 pp., with maps and illustrations, a good copy.‎

‎First edition of this rare guide-book on Afghanistan. Guide to Afghanistan (along with its later revised edition, A New Guide to Afghanistan) is a foundational, early 20th-century travel and geographic reference book written by Professor Mohammed Ali, a prominent nationalist historian from Kabul University. First published in 1938 in Kabul, this work holds deep historical significance as it was one of the first comprehensive guidebooks written by an Afghan author in English to introduce the country's culture, geography, and governance from an authentic, internal perspective.‎

‎Deuxième campagne des Anglais dans l'Afghanistan (1879-1880).‎

‎Paris, Librairie militaire de J. Dumaine, 1881 in-12, IV-431+IX-451 pp., 1 pl. dépl. h.-t., 18 ill. in-t. (cartes et croquis), demi-basane verte, dos à nerfs (rel. moderne). Rousseurs.‎
