Chez Claude Muguet Lyon 1677 In-12 ( 150 X 85 mm ) de 174 pages + permission, plein veau tabac, dos à nerfs janséniste, tranches mouchetées ( reliure de l'époque ). Réimpression de la troisième édition de 1671, après celles de 1668 de l'imprimeur Edme Martin et de 1669 de Claude Barbin. Reliure anciennement restaurée, bon exemplaire, solide.Le chevalier de Méré ( 1607-1684 ), dont le vrai nom était Antoine Gombaud, était un écrivain et penseur français. De Méré était connu pour ses contributions à la littérature, en particulier dans le domaine de la philosophie morale et du commentaire social. On se souvient surtout de lui pour sa participation aux cercles intellectuels de son temps, où il s'engagea dans des discussions et des correspondances dont cet ouvrage est un excellent témoignage. Les écrits de De Méré, en particulier celui-ci, offrent un aperçu du milieu social et culturel de la France du XVIIe siècle.
