Presente solo la parte prima sulla storia romana La seconda opera del 1864 è una grammatica italiana del Prof. G. Castrogiovanni ad uso delle scuole ginnasiali e tecniche. L'ultima opera è priva di frontespizio ma del 1870 circa. Si tratta di una raccolta di favole, narrazioni, descrizioni, ritratti di uomini illustri, lettere, dialoghi, stile didascalico e oratorio. Numerose note manoscritte e disegni. In discrete condizioni. Copertina in mezza pelle con decorazioni in oro al dorso in mediocri condizioni generali con usure e parti mancanti ai margini e dorso. Legatura in buone condizioni ma qualche pagina allentata. All'interno le pagine si presentano in buone condizioni con rare fioriture. Parte mancante al frontespizio della seconda opera. Inside pages are in good conditions with occasional foxings. Missing part in the title page of the second work. Title page of the third work is missing and tears in the last page of the index.

Rare réunion des principaux ouvrages de Cesare BALBO parues à divers dates, auquel on a joint en 1er volume, une biographie de l'auteur par Ercole Ricotti. Les quatre derniers ouvrages sont en éditions originales. L'auteur fut l'un des principaux artisans et théoriciens du "Risorgimento", qui aboutit par la suite à la réalisation de l'unité italienne.
