All edges gilt.One of the nicer illustrated macrolepidopterological works with fine illustrations of butterflies and caterpillars by Deuchert and Slocombe. Copy from the John Crerar library with their perforating stamp in the top corner of the title page leaf and the library's small stamp on the plate versos (not shining through). Boards soiled, rebackeds with blind spine, half-title fore edge repaired, otherwise a good copy with clean images. Horn-Schenkling II(2) p. 449; Nissen ZBI, 2153.
