1827 title-page, 6, [2] p., 1 folded lithographed plate, large royal 4to (24.5 x 34 cm), paperbound (new plain covers, original plain covers bound in). Margins cut but not cropped. Foxing throughout. Very rare.Rosenthal published this work as a festschrift for Dr Siegfried Joachim Meyer, the mayor of Greifswald. The beautiful plate was lithographed by G. Eduard Müller from Berlin. It depicts the Mink Whale that was stranded on the coast of the German island of Rügen in 1825.
