Near uniform half cloth over marbled boards (later: cloth boards), gilt title on spines. Long run of the oldest and most important Dutch malacological periodical. Many papers are in German and French (especially in the earlier volumes), and English (in the later volumes). Many papers are taxonomically important and contain new species. Included are important series, for instance on land slugs by Altena, Conidae by Coomans, Moolenbeek and Wils, and Dutch marine fossils by a group of various authors. Included are the Supplement to volume 23, "The Netherlands as an environment for molluscan life" (1959), and the index to volumes 1-50. A good bound set.
