1896 xii, 271 p., 30 lithographed plates, of which 28 are in full colour, 4to, original brown blind-stamped cloth. The scarce large paper edition with hand-coloured plates. The "common" edition has only two uncoloured plates. With new species and excellent descriptions, figures and tables. This is the sister work of Edward Saunders' "Hemiptera Heteroptera" of the British islands, also published by Lovell Reeve & Co. in 1892. Bookplate on the front pastedown, joints and spine ends taped. Paper age-toned, last plate spotted, two others with a pencilled note, a few more pencilled annotations on some text pages. Other plates clean or with an occasional small spot. Nissen ZBI, 1232.
