Le livre sera adapté en 1967 au cinéma dans une réalisatiion de Richard Lester, avec dans les rôles principaux Michael Crawford, Jack MacGowran, Roy Kinnear, Lee Montague et John Lennon dans son seul rôle d’acteur non musical.
