‎The eleventh edition "was probably the finest edition of Britannica ever issued, and it ranks with the Enciclopedia Italiana and the Espasa as one of the three greatest encyclopaedias. It was the last edition to be produced almost in its entirety in Britain, and its position in time as a summary of world's knowledge just before the outbreak of World War I is particularly valuable" (Robert Collison. Encyclopaedias : their history throughout the ages. 1966). Top of spine of nine volumes a bit chipped (vol. 2, 5, 6, 9, 13, 17, 21, 23, 27). Spines sunned. Some pages with light creasing (folding marks). Head margin of volume five slightly waterstained. All volumes with an ex libris : "Ekholmsnäs Gärd" and a small handwritten name to the first endpaper. Overall a good copy of this greatly estimated reference-book. Weight : about 50 kg ! Up to the buyer to organize the transport. ‎
