Ingénieur civil, William Willcocks (1852-1932) était un spécialiste de l'irrigation : entré au service de l'Egypte britannique en 1883, après des débuts aux Indes, ce fut lui qui conçut et construisit le premier barrage d'Assouan (1899-1902), ainsi que celui d'Assiout.Absent de Hage Chahine. Binding with some small signs of use, half title browned, still a fine/good copy of an original imprint ( no E-book or P.O.D.)..
