First edition, although INED (listing this edition) states that the first edition was published in 1790, but no copy with that date could be found. The author, born in 1754, was among others an intimate friend of Mirabeau whom he often helped with his works and researches. The present work deals with fiscal theories inspired by several economic theories from the preceding century. The author cites, analyses or discusses Quesnay and his followers, Adam Smith, Stewart, etc.
