It is in this work, from the 3rd edition on, that Layman criticized strongly the abuses of the witch persecutors and trials. Paul Layman, from Innsbruck, taught grammar, philosophy, canonical law, and moral theology for 16 years in Ingolstadt, Munich and Dillingen. De Backer-S.
