Nach der Machtübergabe an die Nationalsozialisten 1933 unterschrieb er mit 87 anderen Schriftstellern das Gelöbnis treuester Gefolgschaft für Adolf Hitler. In den Jahren 1935 bis 1938 schrieb er im Sinne der Machthaber ein Außenpolitisches ABC. (...) Im Nürnberger Hauptkriegsverbrecherprozess war er ab 1. April 1946 Assistent von Horst Pelckmann bei der Verteidigung der als verbrecherische Organisation angeklagten SS einschließlich des SD. Seit 1950 war er Justitiar beim Südwestfunk in Baden-Baden. Haensel übernahm ab 1952 einen Lehrauftrag für Rundfunk- und Urheberrecht an der Universität Tübingen. (Source Wikipedia))
