In the verso "Fratelli D'Alessandri via del Babuino Roma" famous photographer active in Rome in this street until 1865. The photo has been applied in an original marked carton paper. La veduta animata mostra la Curia Ostilia e l'Anfiteatro Flavio Colosseo portico interno. 0. Original photograph of the Colosseo. With a numbered caption in the negative ( N° 1023) Mounted on white board, print size 19 x 24 cm, with the blindstamp of Edmondo Behles - Studio Mario Dei Fiori. On the back of the mounted photograph a written contemporary note that this picture was acquired by Comte Alfred Cornet de Peissant in 1870. Some very faint foxing spots in the margin of the mount, the mount with a repaired tear which left a tiny crease marking on the picture ( not important). picture further in fine condition.
