In 4. Dim. 30x20 cm. Pp. 470. Interessante volume del 1906, un reportage dell'Esposizione Universale internazionale del 1900 tenutasi a Parigi. Alfred Picard (1844-1913) ingegnere ed amministratore francese fu commissario generale dell'Esposizione Universale di Parigi e redattore anche di questi volumi che descrivevano ciò che venne proposto all'Esposizione. L'opera era composta da sei tomi, siamo purtroppo in possesso solo del quinto. Tra gli argomenti trattati all'interno: industria chimica e farmacia; colori; distillazione del carbon fossile; nafta e petrolio; profumi; candele; celluloide; fabbricazione della carta; pelli; tabacchi; coltelleria; gioielleria; orologeria; marocchineria; industria di caucciu; oggetti da viaggio; giochi; borse di lavoro; assicurazioni sul lavoro e sulla vita.... Volume molto interessante per capire le innovazioni in diversi campi. In ottime condizioni. Brossura editoriale in ottime condizioni generali con lievi usure ai margini e dorso; etichetta al dorso. Legatura in buone condizioni. All'interno le pagine si presentano in ottime condizioni con rare fioriture. Interesting volume of 1906, a reportage about the universal Internation Exposition of 1900 held in Paris. Alfred Picard (1844-1913) french engineer and administrator was general manager of the Esposizione Universale di Parigi and redactor of these volumes that described what was proposed in the Exposition. The work was made up of six volumes, unfortunately we only have the fifth volume. Among the issues treated inside: chemical industry and pharmacy; colours; oil; perfumes; candles; celluloids; fabbrication of paper; leathers; tobacco; knives; jewelry; kaoutchu industry; travel items; games; job bags; insurances on work and life.... Very interesting volume to understand innovations in these fields. In very good conditions. Editorial cover in very good general conditions slightly worn in the edges and spine. Binding in good conditions. Inside pages are in very good conditions with occasional foxings.
