Melzi G., Dizionario delle opere anonime e pseudonime, V. 1 p. 341). Traduzione a cura di Lorenzo Luzi a differenza della precedente edizione napoletana che venne tradotta da Luigi Guidelli. Vignetta calcografica sul frontespizio disegnata da Filidoro Rossi e incisa da Virgilio Cordelli. lo stampatore Bonducci dichiara nell'introduzione ai lettori che non è chiara la paternità dell'opera: se si tratta di un manoscritto proveniente dal Tibet "uscito dall'Archivio del Gran Lama" o un'opera di Dodley "Letterato e Pari d'Inghilterra estratto per il medesimo dai libri Sacri".
