Elle fut conçue comme un écrin de présentation pour ses statues antiques, l'une des collections privées les plus importantes de la Rome baroque... — jusqu'à ce que le prince Camillo Borghese en vende une partie à son beau-frère Napoléon en 1807.La première partie du guide décrit l'architecture et les jardins ; la seconde partie est consacrée à la collection de sculptures.Exemplaire comprenant 17 sur les 26 gravures hors-texte, la plupart dépliantes.Quelques rousseurs et petites taches.
