Ventura, nato a Palermo sostenne la Rivoluzione siciliana del 12 Gennaio 1848 e venne nominato ministro plenipotenziario e commissario straordinario a Roma, dove rimase per difendere la causa siciliana. Ventura, was born in Palermo and supported the Sicilian revolution of January 12, 1848, and was named minister plenipotentiary and extraordinary commissioner to Rome by the new government, where he stayed to substain the Sicilian cause.
