Prima edizione del 1929 di questo resoconto di salvataggio del capitano degli alpini Gennaro Sora. Sora partì in spedizione per portare soccorso a Umberto Nobile precipitato sulla banchisa dell'Artide nel 1928. La spedizione fallì e l'alpino si trasformò da soccorritore in naufrago venendo a sua volta salvato dagli idrovolanti svedesi. All'interno sono presenti 57 planches fotografiche che mostrano vari momenti della spedizione.Due mappe finali ripiegate. Insieme al volume la scheda bibliografica originale Mondadori. Sora went to give aid to Umberto Nobile fallen in Artide in1928. The expedition failed and the alpine was saved by swedish boats.
