Prima edizione originale del 1625 di quest'opera sulla cavalleria composta da Della Croce, capitano di cavalleria milanese, pubblicata in italiano ma curiosamente stampata nelle Fiandre. L'esemplare contiene inoltre un bifolio segnato , non sempre presente in tutti gli esemplari dell'edizione, contenente "Sonetti varii in lode delle opere del generoso et prudente Flaminio della Croce gentilhuomo milanese".<BR>Cockle 731 L'autore fornisce anche la descrizione delle armi e come correttamente utilizzarle. Il testo è impreziosito da 15 incisioni calcografiche che mostrano schemi di cavalleria, soldati a cavallo e diversi tipi di armi. Interessante l'ultima parte relativa ai consigli per curare i piccoli malanni dei cavalli. Un'opera importantissima per la storia della cavalleria. In ottime condizioni. This copy contains a bifolio marked , not always included in all copies of this edition, containing Sonnets by the author "Sonetti varii in lode delle opere del generoso et prudente Flaminio della Croce gentilhuomo milanese".<BR>Cockle 731 The authors provides also description of weapons and how to use correctly them. A very important work for the history of cavalry.
