Nelle sue "Storie" Polibio descrive come i romani sottoposero al loro predominio il mondo conosciuto. L'opera era formata da tre volumi, siamo purtroppo in possesso solo del terzo tomo contenente Le Ambascierie. Traduzione in italiano a cura di Giulio Landi (1498-1579), erudito autore di saggi morali e di opere burlesche firmato con lo pseudonimo di Sere Stentato e traduttore dal greco. Alla fine cronologia e tavola dei nomi propri antichi e moderni. In ottime condizioni e in se completo. Copertina in mezza pelle coeva con titolo su tassello al dorso in buone condizioni generali con usure ai margini e dorso. Legatura in ottime condizioni.
