Publio Terenzio fu uno dei primi autori latini a introdurre il concetto di humanitas, elemento caratterizzante del "Circolo degli scipioni". Testo in lingua latina con note a cura di Thomas Farnaby (1575-1647). All'interno sono presenti le seguenti commedie: L'Andria, Gli Eunuchi, Gli Adelfi, Il Formione, L'Heautonti-Morumenos, L'ecira. Dissertazione a cura del filologo olandese Daniel Heinsius (1580-1655). Vita di Terenzio a cura di Elio Donato. In discrete condizioni ma completo. Bel frontespizio figurato inciso da Baronus. Firma di appartenenza datata 1653 alla prima carta bianca Copertina cartonata coeva con titolo manoscritto al dorso in discrete condizioni generali con usure e parti mancanti ai margini e dorso. Legatura in mediocri condizioni con rotture e pagine staccate. All'interno le pagine si presentano in buone condizioni con fioriture. Piccolo foro a pag. 33 con piccola perdita di testo. Signature dated 1653 in the first blank page. Carton coeval cover with handwritten title in the spine in fair general conditions with wearings and missing parts in the edges and spine. Binding in poor conditions with cracks and pages detached. Inside pages are in good conditions with foxings. Little hole in pag. 33 with slight loss of text.
