(p.2) A pioneering geneticist, Charles Davenport (1866-1944) taught at Chicago and Harvard University. He became one of the leading voices of the American eugenist movement and authored a number of articles and books on the topic. Heredity in Relation to Eugenics was his first monography and remained a textbook for years with at least one subsequent edition. This copy is first edition.
