Rodrigo Octavio (Filho), with hommage and affection in memoery of a delightful but far too short meeting! Mackintosh Dec. 1940" First compilation of poems thus far published in various newspapers ("The London Mercury", "The New English Weekly" and many others, listed on the first leaflet of this book. Many poems bear French names: "Ballade du mariage à la mode", "Ballade des liégeoises", "Rêve saturnien", etc. yet all were written in English.
