Rio de Janeiro, Ministério da Educação e Cultura, 1957. Softcover. Octavo, 227 x 163 mm, 158 pp. First edition (a second edition was issued in 1959). Theatre script, illustrated with various photographs printed on couché paper. Discrete bookstore stamp on the title page. The play starts on a caipira Brazilian village with a few notes of the "Bacchianas Brasileiras" of Hector de Villalobos. This is the first Brazilian drama/theatre played in the United States. It was played Off-Broadway under the direction of Joan Horvath.

Aside from the pages facing the photographs, the book is rather clean with only a few yellowing and adhesive tape on the top of spine and back cover.
