The first lifetime edition of the second book of stories by Ilya Ehrenburg, which he wrote in the spring of 1922 in Berlin. In the Berlin edition, it was published with the design and with illustrations by the famous El Lissitzky, with whom Ehrenburg then published the magazine ""Thing"". All ""tales"" are connected by a cross-cutting theme - Russian revolution. In Russia, the book caused a storm of extremely sharp literary criticism and attacks.
