Jacques Ferrand (1943?2007) was a French genealogist who collected materials on Russian nobility in exile. Over 35 years, he worked with first-wave Russian ?migr?s and their descendants, gathering scattered genealogical data. In the 1970s, he compiled genealogies of the descendants of field marshals Kutuzov, Suvorov, and Saltykov up to modern times. Continuing the work of N. F. Ikonnikov, Ferrand published several volumes tracing the fate of princely and count families of Russia from 1917 to the late 20th century. Author of works on the Romanovs, Yusupovs, Obolenskys, Nabokovs, Kugushevs, and Musin-Pushkins.
