Pubblicata per la prima volta nel 1726, la sua "Theologia moralis" fu cosi apprezzata che Benedetto XIV decise di utilizzarla come testo per gli studenti del Collegio della Propaganda. A partire dal 1747 nella sua teologia vennero inserite anche proposizioni condannate, casi riservati e decreti di Benedetto XIV. Secondo l'opinione di Gury e Liguori Antoine mostrava un atteggiamento troppo severo.
