Etat très satisfaisant (couv. frottée, lég. rousseurs, bon état par ailleurs) pour ce livre et cette brochure consacrés au Bienheureux Louis-Edouard Cestac (1801-1868), prêtre basque qui acheta en 1838 un domaine à Anglet. Il y fondera Notre-Dame-du-Refuge, institution destinée à réinsérer des jeunes femmes voulant quitter le monde de la prostitution. En 1851 y sera fondée une communauté de religieuses contemplatives. Ce site de N.D.-du-Refuge devint également un site pionnier en innovation agronomique, dans un premier temps, pour nourrir les pensionnaires en exploitant au mieux les terres agricoles du domaine.
