Guillemin S.J. of Besançon (in which he describes that this book was presented to him in 1794 by the Advocate of the Treasury M. Chassignolle because of his gratitude to him for having helped his uncle Francis-Xavier Chassignolle, formerly parish priest of Bouhans in Burgundy, when being held captive along with 32 other, all likely non-juring, priests in the Convent of the Ursuline Nuns at Vesoul), 26cm., contemporary full leather binding (front joint broken and repaired, back joint split on upper side over 5cm., gilt title and compartments on spine, corners bumped and damaged), decorated endpapers, all edges gilt, text in Latin, text is clean and bright except for very few occasional stains, weight: 1.9kg., R121026
