The Syriac text is printed from the reproduction of Codex Ambrosianus, The Chaldee follows Lagarde's recension, The Latin text is Jerome's version from the Hebrew, This works represents a polyglot Psalter intended for scholarly use, It is carefully collated from the best manuscripts and earlier editions for academic use ("Ex optimis codicibus et editionibus in usus academicos imprimendum curavit"), 28cm., contemporary hardcover binding (marbled boards with some traces of use, spine in leather (upper end of spine slight damaged), text is clean and bright, This copy first belonged to prof. Hermann Gunkel (1862-1932, a well-known German Old Testament scholar) with his handwritten signature - and then to prof.
