Bruxelles, [1978] Complete in three physical volumes, xxviii + 840pp. (continuous pagination) + loosely added: 10pp. errata & author's visiting card, 29cm., softcovers, text in French, good condition, [This is a very rare original copy of the doctoral dissertation by the Belgian-Greek philosopher Lambros Couloubaritsis, who later became professor at the 'Université libre de Bruxelles' (ULB) and founder and director of the "Centre de philosophie ancienne". His dissertation constitutes the starting point of his later thought, in which he renovated the study of ancient philosophy by developping a conceptual and structural apporach, and focusing on 'how' philosophical problems arise and evolve, rather than merely on 'what' philosophers state. His further publications have had an important impact on the study of Aristotle, Heraclitus and Parmenides. This copy comes from the collection of a thesis committee member, with some of his occasional handwritten notes on the blanco verso sides of the pages & some loosely added handwritten commentaries], weight: 4 kg., F120567
