‎L'objet de la presente publication est la correspondance de l'internonce de Flandre, Andrea Mangelli (1652-1655), avec la Curie romaine. Destinees a informer le Saint-Siege de la situation politique et religieuse des Pays-Bas meridionaux, les lettres de l'internonce constituent une source importante pour l'histoire de nos regions. Elles presentent aussi un interet particulier pour l'histoire du jansenisme. Mangelli etait charge de veiller a l'execution des bulles In eminenti et Cum occasione condamnant la doctrine de Jansenius. Son ministere coincide avec le temps fort de la crise entre le Saint-Siege et le gouvernement des Provinces Belgiques. Il en relate minitieusement toutes les phases dans ses missives. C'est avec une egale minutie qu'il fait part a Rome d'autres affaires en cours: guerre franco-espagnole, conflits de juridiction, enquetes en vue de nominations ecclesiastiques, etc. Precisons qu'il ne s'agit pas d'une publication integrale des lettres de l'internonce en italien, mais bien de leur analyse en francais.
